As the world of Archie gets a television reinvention with January’s Riverdale on The CW, the comic book portion of Archie’s world continues it’s own reinvention that began over the last few years with four new one-shots arriving in March 2017.

Revealed through Entertainment Weekly, the four one-shots are part of the “New Riverdale” line and cross through various genres. The four one-shots are Jughead: The Hunger, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Archies and Little Archies.

Over the years the launches of titles like Afterlife with Archie, and the relaunches of titles like ArchieJughead and Betty and Veronica have helped bring the Riverdale characters into a more modern setting that has brought them a surge in popularity.

While they are all one-shots, there is a possibility that these titles could make the leap to ongoing series.

“These new launches give readers a wider lens with which to see the Archie characters and concepts,” Archie Comics CEO Jon Goldwater said in a statement. “I think of it as a very ambitious and top-line pilot season that showcases the successful and acclaimed New Riverdale sensibility. If these books resonate, fans might just see them greenlit as regular series.”
