SDCC: Marvel & Netflix announce “Daredevil” season three and tease their other shows

Marvel & Netflix brought of goodies to San Diego Comic Con this year as the two ramp up to bring even more series from their collaboration. All of the various teaser trailers and images they shared have now made their way online to both official YouTube and Twitter channels. 

To kick off their SDCC panel, Marvel showed off a sizzle reel that features images and moments from the already released Marvel & Netflix series.

Next was a teaser for the September launching Luke Cage, which spins out of his appearances during last year’s Jessica Jones. 

Luke Cage stars Mike Colter as Cage, Frank Whaley as Detective Scarfe, Theo Rossi as Shades, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Mahershala Ali as Cottonmouth, Alfie Woodard as Mariah Dillard and Rosario Dawson reprising her role as Claire Temple. The entire season will be available to watch on September 30.

Iron Fist came next and got it’s own teaser trailer as well as a new teaser image that was shared through Twitter.

Iron Fist stars Finn Jones,Jessica Henwick, David Wenham, Jessica Stroup and Tom Pelphrey and Carrie-Anne Moss reprising her role of Jeri Hogarth from Jessica Jones.  All episodes will arrive on Netflix sometimes in 2017.

Also arriving in 2017 is the series that will bring all the previous ones together, Defenders which sees Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist all team up to take on a threat. That series gained a teaser of it’s own as well.

Defenders stars Mike Colter, Krysten Ritter, Finn Jones and Charlie Cox.

While no teaser was shown, it was confirmed during the SDCC panel that Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher series is in the works. The last preview that was shown also ended all speculation that fans have been having since season two of Daredevil dropped earlier this year, as a third season was promised coming soon.

Daredevil stars Charlie Cox, Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll.
